MittiCool is the brainchild of Mansukhbhai Prajapati, who hails from Wankaner, Gujarat. Mansukhbhai was born in a potter’s family. However, his parents had to quit the pottery business due to financial troubles. A paucity of funds forced him to drop out of school and work at a tea stall his father had set up for him. However, Mansukhbhai was driven by his passion to revolutionize the world of pottery with modern manufacturing techniques.

Despite discouragement from his family and limited financial resources at his disposal, Mansukhbhai laid the foundation of MittiCool by starting a manufacturing unit for clay tawas. The massive 2001 earthquake that devastated the Bhuj region of his home state was the true turning point in his journey. Looking at the plight of people running from pillar to post for basic necessities such as clean drinking water, he conceptualized the clay refrigerator, which is a flagship product by MittiCool. It was the first concrete step in setting up a house of innovation that MittiCool and its products are synonymous with today.
